People, We Cry Over People

I talked to my Grandmother on the phone today
 Today she knew my name
A window was opened to the past
I peeked through and felt the warmth of love
Smelled the cornbread muffins and beef stew
Could hear the TV
Up too loud, so Grandpa could hear
Today she said my name
Said she loved me so much
Called me sweet girl
Her sweet sweet girl
My Grandmother
The seventy-four pound anchor of my life
I talked to my Grandmother on the phone today
Today I feel complete

  1. Hello sister Sharina. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am glad to stop by your profile on the blogger and the blog post. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honoured to get connected with you as well as know you as a Registered Nurse who has a ministry too. It is a moving write up on your grand mother. Really enjoyed going through it. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and prarying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 40 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. we reach out to the poorest of poor with the love of Chirst to bring healing to the brokenhearted. We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have you come with your family to Mumbai to work with us during your vacation time. I am sure with your passion for ministry and your Nursing profession I am sure you wand your family will have a rewarding time and for your children a life changing experience. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God's richest blessings on you, your family and friends. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar Wankhede.
